Nuggethill, I believe you are correct: Hormazd IV. I would guess the mintmark may be AHM (Hamadan), but I'm probably wrong. I'm sure one of our Sasanian experts - Kushanshan, echizento, Finn, etc. - will be along to assist.

Thanks Spence and yes I have Beast Coins book marked (I use to buy coins off them many years ago) I just wasn't sure where the coin date was but I do now thanks for your help and again thank you all.
