Loonielewy your story is touching. As a coin hunter I've found maybe a dozen coins " not ment for circulation" and I too wonder was it theft, desperation or kids not knowing better. Honestly if I could I would return them in an instant. Instead I will 2x2 them and add them to my collection and wonder when I see them.why?

Thank you , I've found a shop that is taking the silver dollars out of proof sets and selling the remaining six coins for 5$. These are just some of the loons. I can't pass up six proof coins for 5$.  |

Nice loons denny, and those $5 sets are bonus. When there was a coin shop in town, he wanted $5 for the loon alone.
