1970-Dark-Roosevelt-Dime

Found this dark 1970 Roosevelt dime in pocket change. Of the 10 year's worth of coins I saved, I only found 4 dark coins. 3 are Jefferson nickels. This is the only dark dime I've come across is over 10 years. Wondering if it was baked too long or just environmental damage. Thank you.

I think it was well done

In minting process they don't BAKE coins! this is just another example of an environmental damage, air, water, humidity, dirt exposure. It's a spender.

Yep, just Environmental Damage, causing the surfaces to change. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint).
