Doubling maybe? Didn't find it on Wexler's page.

If it's in the center, than it's most likely a Doubled Die Reverse, and it deserves to be looked at by John Wexler! Send him the pictures, and see what he thinks of your coin.

Your close up images are too distorted. Sorry can't help you.
But I can tell you this , I have not seen any DDR listings for this coin yet.

I went back to take better pictures for chase and seen what I believe is more doubling. The blue circle is my original area in question and the red arrows is what I just found. Any ideas?

Thanks EaV for the info. It says they can slab it if it is confirmed to be a DDR. Would you recommend it if it is?

I can't tell if this is a doubled die or not with these images (the lighting is too harsh), submitting it to Wexler would be the way to figure it out.

Not exactly. If you submit it to Wexler (which costs a fee) and it is confirmed as a DDR, Wexler will send you a document saying just that. You would then send the coin and that document to ANACS and they will slab it for another fee.

Personally, I would not do that. It's not a major doubled die and it wouldn't be worth much even as the discovery piece. But it is your coin and it's your collection, you can do what you want.

killians,

I am sorry it is still hard to tell , but looking at the areas you have pointed at with arrows they look flat and look like MD to me.(and a sharp, focused image would help)

Not so fast, not every doubling or anomaly in the center is going to be a DD, there are other possibilities to consider before spending money on attribution!

However I do agree with Tanman. As he mentioned, even if it were to be a DD which I don't think it is, it still wouldn't be worth spending your money and sending it in for attribution because it would be too minor.

I was leaning towards that as well but couldn't tell for sure with the glare in the images. I can't rule out anything but I think it's more likely MD.
