I posted this not too long ago. I just wanted to get an explanation what could've caused the raised areas and faint inscriptions seen on bilateral field area? Sorry to bother you guys with the same coin.

Sorry.'m not seeing anything unusual in the fields...some hairline scratches and dings is all. the coin seems well struck, a mid to early die state with very little deterioration going on, a slight shift of MD perhaps. Point out on the coin where you see what it is you see. Honestly, the only raised items are the details of LIBERTY, Date and IGWT?

If you're talking about this, a backwards "S"? That is nothing more than a stain, a discolorization, maybe cause by ink from a wet newspaper, then again, coincidence.,

It's not raised enough above the field to amount to much of anything really. It could be, if slightly raised (by microns) a small dab of grease struck through that made a weird shaped die dent. It is so very minor of a problem it is a non-event. Typical machining glitches, happens frequently, not an "error".

The common misconception is that higher mag will draw these things out into the open is a bunch of hoo-wee! My philosophy for errors, Doubled dies and RPMs is if it can't be clearly seen through a 10x loupe, it ain't worth the bother, in value, time and eyestrain. When you go higher, your mind tries to make sense of what it's seeing and it fool you. Called pariedolia.
