The only PM outfit I've used, had no problems with them at all. Have bought over $100 at a time for the free shipping, nice on 34 lbs bag of copper! Had one minor problem but customer service was superb and problem resolve. Shipping is quick too. From Dallas to Central Mo is actually two days, very fast.

I've not had a single issue with Provident in all the years I've been a customer. Not only that, they beat everyone else's prices nine out of ten times.

I just got a good deal for the 2017 Canada 150 1oz silver coins. Got 6 of them. A bit cheaper than JM Bullion on this one.

I agree with everyone else. Provident is top notch in my opinion. Never had any issues.

No issues. I compare their prices with APMEX since they are close competitors.

I may have used APMEX in the past but I don't recall. As for Provident Metals and JM Bullion I think the free shipping on orders $99 and up is a great value. I think it's around $5.95 on orders less than $99.

I had a pretty big issue with them and haven't bought from them since unfortunately, since they do have some good deals. I ordered $10 worth of 90% silver. They sent me 100 dimes...cool. However, more than 20 of them were in terrible shape. In fact, on most of them, you couldn't even tell they were a dime.
Now I know it's "junk" silver and not supposed to be perfect but these were in unacceptable condition. It wasn't from wear. It looked like something was spilled on them and left for decades. Since they send that nice card in the box saying they want me to be 100% satisfied, I complained. They initially balked and tried to say it's junk and I shouldn't expect it to be in good condition. Anyone who watches my Youtube videos knows that I know junk silver...I buy it all the time and sometimes you get some bad ones. However, they frankly dumped terrible coins on me. I would have never bought them if I had went to a coin shop or elsewhere. I told them they were too big of a company and their reputation was not worth them selling stuff like that.
Well they finally agreed to a return but I had to pay shipping fees...almost $8. Now anyone who buys the 90% knows that that totally killed any reason for me to buy from them at a great price. I have now way over paid for it. So I sent it back and a few weeks later got a roll of quarters back from them.
There is too much competition to deal with them. There was no reason for them to sell such crappy coins and if for some reason it slipped through their quality checks, they should not have put the burden on me to send them back. Since then I have spent a lot of money (with silver being so low) and they have received none of it. But IMHO, they don't deserve my business.
I know many people love them...I read it all the time but they lost me...all over a few dimes. I would just say to keep an eye on the items you order and know they are not really that concerned about your satisfaction...even though they claim they are.

I've only ever tried APMEX, but I do like some of the "Zombucks" silver rounds that Provident has. That being said, I don't really order online anymore ever since APMEX sent me 2 Cap & Ray 8 Reales that were supposed to be AU but were very much cleaned. Now I stick to either coin shows, or my main junk silver guy at the flea market. That way if I get crappy coins, it's my own fault.

There is definitely a risk buying online. For many, including myself, it's really my only outlet. I got my Canada 150 Maples today, real sharp! Should be getting my Krugerrand's on Monday.

Provident is pretty good on quality control. I only had to return a coin or 2 because of scratches. I did have to wait 2 month for a theft on a 1 kilo Kookaburra that came missing on a large order. Someone slit the box, took the kook and taped it back up. I was shocked. Funny thing is they never sent a replacement but instead gave me refund. To my luck the price on it jumped and I don't see any for sale anywhere.

I bought some of those 2018 SML incuse coins on ebay from Provident Metals. Is the Queen side incused as well? $95 and some change for 5 of them. I could have bought 6 regular SML for around $100ish.

Today I got my 5 incuse maples from Provident's ebay listing. They are quite nice. The reverse is definitely more appealing than the obverse.
