Raw coin, seller pics, what do you all think? I am strongly considering...pending a second, third and fourth opinion of course!

Pics indicate a dip. Better date coin. Need better pics to reveal the surfaces. The reverse around the wreath looks to have that over-polished dies effect. I think it's genuine, struck from some over-polished dies.

Au58. Agree likely a light dip. May be market acceptable.

It looks like a VAM-20. I would snag it if the price was right.

Doesn't have much eye appeal in my opinion. AU-53 or 55, likely cleaned.

Wow, I'm a little confused why such a price increase from 55 to 58. That being said I would proceed cautiously. AU-55

AU-55 Details, cleaned. This coin definitely does not have original surfaces. It lacks luster, has a color characteristic of a improper dip, and has splotchy toning resulting from the cleaning.

When blowing that photo up I am seeing a phantom "O" mint mark. Anyone else see it or am I smoking too much wacky tobaccy?

I'm thinking the O was removed and the harsh cleaning is trying to hide surface issues.

It's a VAM-20 where the reverse die was not properly hardened and the metal flow eroded or collapsed the die.http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.c...901-P_VAM-20

photo lighting is obscuring surfaces. personally I would pass without better photos. I would say at worst AU55 cleaned

I took a chance on it...14 day refund policy. I'll post real pics when I get it in hand. No details mentioned so I won't feel bad taking them up on it if it shows up as such. 55/58 details what is market price? ebay looked anywhere between $150-$250, that sound about right?

Here it is in hand. Definitely a dip but there is luster remaining and VAM 20 is correct making the surfaces a little weird on the reverse. I'm in it right about $200...run forest run, or not terrible?

i would say its in the AU55+ area. its actually a little better than I thought it would be. it could be pushing 58 as there does not appear to be much circulation and the luster is pretty good
