Love, that ticket -- I hope to get one some day. The Topps card is neat, too!

1935 America's Exposition in San Diego CA.
1935 San Diego One, Five and Ten Nuggets Gold Gulch CouponsI finally found an acceptable One Nugget Coupon for the Gold Gulch Attraction at the 1935 San Diego Exposition which complete my set of three. The others can be found here in the second part of that post. http://goccf.com/t/330506&whichpage=5#2935656 I had to buy two coupons in the lot, a ONE and a FIVE, so I have a duplicate Five Nuggets now but this one is not as good as my first and neither is the ONE but it will do. For some reason ONE's seem more worn and less often found. Here's my duplicate No2 Five.

Beautiful set -- congrats! I would guess the One Nuggets are more worn for the same reason one dollar bills are -- smaller bills circulate more. The One Nuggets would have been given as change for larger denominations.
I wonder why there were two colors. Did you say the show also ran in 1936? Maybe they changed colors for the second year but didn't change the date.

I think the paper yellowed with age, plus the photography may differ. When I get a chance, I'll take an image of them together.

Now I am right back to looking for another more minty ONE NUGGET after getting this lesser condition duplicate TEN NUGGETS today. (My fifth note to date) I can make two sets and sell off the lesser condition trio if I find that nice ONE!

My fourth different Pan-American ticket! Actually it is a "souvenir stub" from a New York Day ticket, which many of my, what I call "tickets", are. That's OK, I call them tickets anyway. Getting an unused souvenir stub with an attached ticket is rare and much more expensive. These are the more attractive halves for sure. 1901 Pan-American Exposition Ticket Buffalo New York New York Day ~ September 18th 1901 A wonderful website about this exposition is found here. http://www.panam1901.orgThe marble building that houses the Buffalo History Museum today was constructed in 1901 as the New York State pavilion for that year's Pan-American Exposition, and is the sole surviving permanent structure from the exposition. It can be seen on the front of this ticket to the left of the portraits.

I wish I had more to post! This thread has really covered a lot of territory and has pretty much captured most of the major expositions. I guess I can add one more thing. Way back on page 2 of this thread I posted a set of souvenir cards with reprints of the six 1893 Columbian Expo tickets. There is a least one more card that features an engraved reprint -- this one of the 1876 Exhibition. So we know, at least, that the printing plate for the back side of the ticket still exists.

I have only seen one other come up for sale in the past year and a half and I check almost daily. I tried to get this cheaper making an offer but had to buy it now thinking somebody else is gonna grab it first before getting an answer. So here is my latest. It could be a long time until I'd see another. 1909 Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition Seattle Day Ticket (souvenir stub) (image will magically update when I get a chance to take better pictures)A 1909 postcard from the Exposition I have, I would love to have the rug!
