That's Post Strike Damage ( PSD). This event happened after it left the U.S. Mint, in circulated. See how the metal is pushed over and flattened to the right side of the 7? That's because it took a well placed hit there.

A "blowout" can happen on a zincoln but not on a copper coin.

Coin contact altered the coin. It was struck normal, but altered after the strike. Spendable.
