Odd 1989 Lincoln Cent - Coin Community Forum

Hardesty420 New Member United States 14 Posts	Posted 11/16/2018 08:16 am This is an odd little critter that I stumbled upon today. It is a 1989 Lincoln Memorial penny, hard to explain. It first caught my attention, because it is relatively lustrous, but it also look a bit warped, or bubbled (for lack of a better description) upon taking a closer look, it Has a somewhat egg shell kind of finish. Nothing really popped out on the obverse, but I turned it over, and wow, it looks as tho the Lincoln memorial has encountered some sort of apocalyptic type turmoil and is crumbling, and melting... well, I know that the pictures will do zero justice where the warped look is concerned. But.... hmmm I can't wait to hear the comments on this one... help me out!! The distortion in the photos is from the warping or whatever it is. Report this Post to the Staff
