Hey gang, looking at a couple 69-s cents and noticed that the S on one is a good bit higher than the other. Note the second mint mark is much higher than the first. All feedback is welcome. Not sure if it's just a different die or just some odd variation. Thank you all.
@DJD, hand-punched mint marks meant that the location was typically close, but certainly not exactly in the same spot. If you can find a mintmark that has been repunched or touching part of the date, then you might have a saver.

I don't think the font is different , I think the die was polished excessively thinning the mintmark. Could also be combined with a lightly punched mintmark.
