Here's a commemorative silver dollar from Canada issued in 2014. It marks the 75th anniversary of the formal declaration of war by Canada and its entry into World War II. The theme of the coin's commemorative reverse is the contributions of women on the home front during the war; it depicts three women working on the construction of an Avro 683 Lancaster X airplane.

Here's another commemorative silver dollar from Canada. It is one of Canada's releases tied to the centennial of World War I and depicts a new soldier saying "Goodbye!" before he boards the train for the military base that will provide his training. This selectively gold-plated version is from the 2014 silver proof set. You can read more about some of Canada's WWI coins here: Canada WWI Coins of 2014.

Here's another NCLT silver dollar from Canada. This one was struck back in 2010 and was issued to mark the passing of Canada's last living veteran of World War I. John Babcock died on February 18, 2010 at the age of 109. Red enamel was applied to the single poppy in the foreground and makes for a stark contrast vs. the other poppies in the field. IMO, the effect makes for an attractive and poignant design!
