Brampton show locates inside a recreation centre: so many parents and little kids walk through the hallway.

I saw at least 3 families when their kids want to go inside to see the coins, but the lady at door insist to charge the parents. Of cause, they just leave with their kids without any hesitation.

For sure this is a win-win situation

This picture took just outside the show FYI. (click on the picture to see full-size)

Maybe if the coin show at Brampton didn't charge any money this could be an incentive for people to go in? I wonder if they had a cost to rent this room? If so I would understand why they want to charge, but if the Coin Show gets in for free, they shouldn't charge...

Fair enough, sadly who ever is behind this operation may not understand the term 'Recreational' to the fullest extent.
If you want to promote offer free admission. This may add attendance

The person who runs it has been in the business for a long time and is very smart and respected..and I believe the proceeds of admission to the show goes to charity...on top of that $4 is a fair admission fee and you would be hard pressed to find a good show that doesn't charge admission. Shows with admission fees are a good thing especially in a place like where this show is held as they weed out the collectors from the people who just wanna browse to pass time. That sounds harsh but as a dealer I would hate to have my table crowded by people who aren't there to spend money..

True, although those families Panda mentioned may not understand you like I do. Ideally those families could be future coin prospect lovers! They'll buy eventually once they understand the hobby
