yep, best night of the month so far. $30.98 away from the target. I should be able to scratch it up by black friday.

amending my statement slightly: it's good to be a street pirate when the weather's decent. bouts of rain tend to spoil the party and make me crabby. we're getting a nasty blast of rain as I peck away at this now. i can deal with no coins to find at night. what really turns my mood foul is anything getting in the way of my feeding my furry friends each night. our forecast hasn't changed. the models are pretty consistent with Milton on track for the Tampa-Sarasota region. we will most likely experience the same effects as we experienced with the close passings of Helene and Debby. i wouldn't want to be in Milton's path. for those of you CCFers who are, please be smart, be safe. looking forward to the end of this hurricane season.

well... last night I picked only eighty-five cents... three quarters and a dime... (what? no zincolns!?) i didn't bother with the parking lots... those 4 coins came from three stops: an ice machine coin return (quarter), a water machine coin return (2 quarters) and a drive-up window area (dime). my hope for tonight is 1) no rain (i need a 1 hour window) and 2) maybe the several soda, ice & water machines along the way will provide some abandoned change. the pavements will likely be too wet for any serious looking around.

I typically do not hear the rain from inside my apartment, but I heard it last night. sounded like a herd of elves tap dancing on my roof, caused me to walk out and have a look; a tremendous tropical downpour, water from every direction, lasted all of 5 minutes and just stopped, like a faucet was turned off. fabulous, a huge sloppy mess for me to go pedal thru. it rained a few more times during the hour and a half that I was out. once I was back home, there was no more rain. hope #2: an ice machine provided a quarter and a dime, plus I picked a Canadian dime from a laundromat parking lot. it's a wonder I saw it at all. not a great night, but still better than zero.

Sorry about the tough night, MrPink, but some money is better than no money. And you can't find it if you don't look for it. Hope that you have better luck tonight.
