last night I picked $1.42, all well-scattered change, the 6th time this month of scoring $1+.... 11 dimes, 2 nickels and 22 zincolns. odd to find 11 dimes, that's kind of a lot of dimes for just one night, and strange considering the night before I found just ten cents- a nickel and five zincolns. the night before that was fifty-one cents, the night before that was fifty-four cents... that's how it's been lately.

and I scored an Igloo cooler/thermal bag last night, too... looks like it keeps stuff hot or cold when it needs to be toted around... plus I found an unopened roll of clear plastic tubing, the sort of tubing you'd use a length of to assist in draining an A/C, or maybe for use in an aquarium, etc... there must be several feet of it in that tidy coil:

Post-Your-Stories-&-Pix-Of-Found-Money

i'll keep that roll of tubing despite not having an immediate use for it. i'll use the cooler bag for all the cat food & things I lug around with me each night when I'm out there feeding kitties. the bag fits perfectly into my bike basket. now I can operate the cat-feeding endeavor out of the bag in the bike basket instead of carrying it all in my backpack. it'll relieve me of the backpack being on and off me multiple times a night. it'll save time (at least several seconds at each stop); the faster I can get the cats fed & get rolling again the better for me. I don't like lingering after I've put the food down. me taking off my backpack, fetching food containers from it, feeding them, stuffing things back into my backpack and putting the thing onto my back again eats up time.. so I may have streamlined the endeavor just a bit. i'll still take my backpack with me each night, though it'll now be empty. i'll do a test-run tonight & see how it goes.

..and then today I scored a Weber grill from the lady I just started working for. it was left on the property when she bought her condo. she doesn't use it, told me I could have it, so I hired my buddy (with a jeep & a trailer & ratchet straps) to go fetch it this afternoon. i'll post a picture of it when I get it cleaned up. it needs a little work, but appears to be in very decent condition. yes, I am keeping the grill despite thoughts of just selling it & using that $$ for coins. grills aren't cheap. it's been many years since I last had a grill and I just scored a good one. I'm looking forward to grillin' again.

a bunch of good scores in the past 24 hours.

last night I thought I was going to hit the dollar-mark again, but fell a bit short, picking just ninety-two well-scattered cents... maybe if I would have rolled through another parking lot or two I might've done it, but oh well, i'll try again tonight.

another bonus today, though: I scored a wine cooler-type of mini-fridge, I really don't know what it's technical name is.. not important; I scored it, but I'm not keeping it. it still works, just needs a bit of cleaning & care. i'll make it look presentable and sell it and i'll apply those dollars to my growing gifted money pile and eventually turn that into gold:
