I love the weather we get here. My flowers (hollyhock) are in full bloom already, my lawn is coming back - it usually goes dormant in the winter - and Winter was on a Thursday last month I think.

and nice find on that 5 cent piece and the War Nickel!

I don't post a lot on this thread as I don't find a lot. I try to post if I find over a dollar which doesn't happen much and sometimes I find over a dollar but forget to post.

Recently I made a deposit and realized that in the past year I found $137 (I also found a silver ring that I got $5 in value for). Of that the vast amount is change. In the last 365 days I found $32 in cash with $17 being at one time, I also found 2$5 and $5 in singles ($3 and then $2). All in all a pretty good year. Other than the lucky cash find, I find an average of 28 cents a day.

I don't keep track of what I find daily but I do find lots of dimes and cents and last year I found 5 $1 coins. It all adds up.

Today was another find. I found a lottery ticket (actually found 3 but only 1 was a winner).

I won another ticket. I walk to the corner store and get another ticket.

This one gets me $2

Today I added to the pile.

helder, I'm glad you didn't continue pushing your luck and settled on that $2! well played.

i don't find nearly as much and as frequently as I used to... I still find it, but it's not been worth talking about lately, for the most part, although I noticed that I've picked a little over $4 in the past 5 nights. DiscoLover82's got it goin' on.

i did manage to score some pizza hut grub a week ago, as well. an Uber Eats driver left some cheesy breadsticks & buffalo chicken things at the pizza hut store before he left, intentionally or not. it was about 12:15 am when I found it; the receipt read 11:17pm, 58 minutes prior, so it had sat there for barely an hour, not long enough to have spoiled, and the seals on both containers were unbroken. no one had bothered them. food for me.

my jar of change is not quite half-full yet, it is still more empty than full. it's gonna be a while.

while I'm waiting on the found money, I'm also accumulating gift money. actually, I'm first recovering some gift money that I spent on other business months ago. I owe that money to myself and now I'm finally getting around to paying me back. I just recovered $300 of $450, a good start. ... this, too, is going to be a long-term project, but I'm sure that we will see when I finally reap it's reward that it will have been worth it. i'll be piling up my gift money to exchange on a larger purchase than I typically do, but way down the road. I might have 2 projects aimed at black friday this year.

several days ago I posted on the '2025 coins in circulation' thread that I had found my first 2025 LSC, although I didn't get it in change, I picked it from the pavement somewhere. I have picked at least one shiny new 2025 LSC from the pavement each night since then and of the thirteen total lincoln cents that I found tonight five of them were 2025. coins, mint-fresh from a cash register and then dropped in a parking lot.

Well done MrPink! Here in England I have yet to find any 2024 or 2025 coins either in circulation or on the ground...

No pictures.

Yesterday we went to large super market, leaving the parking lot I see a dollar on the street I stopped the car and ran out to get it. My wife gave me the face (are you crazy?), I guess the answer is yes!

All the proof you need to know we need to stop mining cents for circulation.

tonight I picked $1.83, all well-scattered change... I had something to take a picture of tonight, but- duh- I went out the door tonight having left my iphone on the charger, so no picture of the four quarters I scored from a water machine coin return. it was only the third time this month picking a dollar or more on one night. luck o' the irish?

i picked tonight's loot from just 4 locations. interestingly, I scored twice as many quarters as zincolns. that doesn't happen very often.

i think my jar of change is finally half-full. at this rate the jar will be totally full by the first day of summer.
