Post Your Stories & Pix Of Found Money

friends, this post will be a continuation of the 'best-of' from the previous post..

from many dozens of found-money pictures accumulated over a year and a half I've narrowed the number of pictures for this post down to nine-- pictured here are nine of the better hauls from various nights this year, from april thru october 2022..











i typically do not find huge amounts of coins like those pictured above every night, most nights are just a meager smattering of coins, I'm lucky if I can find $1 a night.. I have plenty of nights where I find nothing or next to nothing, and I get rain-outs occasionally where I just ride out to feed muh kitties & skip money-hunting entirely (it's threatening a little rain tonight, incidentally)..

nothing has changed; if ppl are going to continue throwing it away I'm going to continue going out every night to see what I can clean up.. I save it & turn it into something at a later date..

it's hard to argue with free money..

cycle 22 ends & cycle 23 begins as soon as I find thirty-four cents, could be tonight... more to come..

it just continues.. last night I scored $3.87, primarily from the air-vacs.. I've accumulated $6.44 over 3 nights, cycle 23 is well underway..

ppl throw it away, I clean it up & put it to good use..

i just got a new calendar for exactly that. speaking of that, here is my 2022 minutiae:

in 2022 I found..

-about $480 in change & dollar bills. I found nothing larger than a $1 note;
-no fewer than 40 (yes, forty) bottles of water;
-5 pizzas;
-a huge bag of cookies (presumably from Publix bakery), nearly a year ago to the day;
-a new metal yardstick;
-and a bike.

i found numerous lighters, too, but I don't keep count.

there were 23 rain days... days or nights that it rained & it affected my ride, kitty-feeding and/or money-finding (several of those nights I found exactly $0.00). two of those nights were a tropical storm in june, two of those nights were hurricane Ian in september.

it was a good year to be a street pirate.

i scored my first dollar bill of the new year last night



found at the place where I didn't think i'd be finding them anymore, so I guess i'll have to continue to monitor it..
