Quote: I was downtown a few weeks ago sitting on a bench on the street waiting to meet a friend for some drinks. A guy approached me and begged some money from me. I gave him $10. He took off. My friend arrived and we started walking towards the bar. I looked down, and there was a $10 bill. I picked it up. I was "even". Very nice!

It's 7:11 AM as I type this and I just found $1.50 in a vending machine downstairs...let's see if that's a good sign for the day ahead. Yesterday was one of those "8 PM miracles" days; my total of $1.43 was decent, but most of it happened well into the evening. It's a good thing I checked the humanities building when I did and found the 50 cents needed to push me over a dollar!

i scored $1.58 tonight, and despite the rain it was my best night in two weeks ($1.59 on the 9th), and I captured a buck in the wild, my first since the 4th... it was actually a buck in the water, a shallow rain puddle, maybe 1/4". it has rained the past five nights, and we had a ripper of a severe t-storm tonight. I got caught outside in it & ran several blocks thru torrential rain to get home, totally soaked, dodging lightning bolts, etc..

My best find was 37 cents on Friday. It's been a poor September.

Quote: It's been a poor September. concur. for the first two weeks of the month I was on a paint job which required I skip the nightly hunt until completion. that job ended (for now) a week ago, and the rainy season decided to show up as the job ended, so it's been night after night of rain. now I'm onto my next paint job, which allows for at least some hunting, but I can't get a break from the wet weather. I had 3 or 4 zero nights this past week due to rain. I'm not sure what the total is so far for the month, but I know it's well under the average.

the rain stayed away long enough for me to find $1.51 in well-scattered change last night. my first back-to-back $1+ nights since the 8th & 9th ($1.79 & $1.59, resp.). with rain in the forecast for the rest of this week, I don't expect to find much. maybe october will be a little drier.

i totally agree, Errers and Varietys... even more awesome: tonight I picked a tidy pile of change totaling $1.01, which makes 3 straight nights of $1+, the only time this month (so far..) that has happened. joy.
