1929 D Mercury Dime Error/Variety? - Coin Community Forum

Matt2727 Valued Member United States 219 Posts	Posted 01/06/2019 4:20 pm Hello everyone, US coins are not my forte, so I was hoping someone could help me with this. I found this coin in a dealer's junk silver box...when I looked at it under a loupe I discovered that the final 9 in the date seemed to be open at the bottom. Is this a variety, or possibly an error?
