I have the opportunity to purchase this cent but need to know what everyone's thoughts are on whether this is truly a 1909-S Indian Head cent. I've posted just the reverse. The obverse is 1909. Thank you in advance! Edited by srs77 01/06/2019 10:51 am

No expert here, I see a blob that vaguely looks like an S when I zoom in, but of the 9 images on PCGS the S are all higher and line up directly over a denticle. This blob is lower, more left, and lines up between denticles. I wouldn't waste hundreds of dollars on what is probably a $2-10 coin.

I see what you are looking at and agree with kbbpll that it looks too low.

Negative.
To my eye - the base coin is in at least VF state ... which should make any legitimate mint mark clear as a bell.
Stay clear of this one I say.
