Achilles Valued Member United States 60 Posts	Posted 01/14/2019 10:22 am Good morning, This '74 appears to be copper plated on top of some kind of white alloy under the scratched areas. It is: - Non magnetic - Weighs 3.06 grams Explanations on this one? Any way of looking up if the mint was striking any foreign coinage with similar attributes? I did my best with the pictures but there are smaller scratches on the front and back where glints of white metal can be seen as well - Lincoln's head/face, '74', 'BE' in liberty, and 'I' in 'In God We Trust', etc. Report this Post to the Staff

Coin meet up with a lot of metal contact after the strike. It is in the location were it could have happened during the wrapping of the roll.
