With regard to the "whale", to me it actually looks more like a deer/antelope standing and facing right. I see whispers of his legs I think. On the other side, that could be a ship or even a crescent moon and perhaps TO or TD at the top? Maybe by bumping this thread, some others can join the hunt for what this might be.
