HI,

I am new to the forum, been collecting for about 10 years. I mainly seek out ASE's and raw Morgans that will grade out, but I like to keep them raw. For some reason I feel like Morgans deserve to be raw.

There is something exhilarating about being able to hold a GEM 1878-s (for example) and feel the weight and what it would really be like to to use that to buy some milk and bread back in the day. I obviously take great care when touching or storing them.

When I say this I usually get from most collectors, but its just my thing.

Right now I'm trying to get the pulse on the ASE market. It seems there is a lot of wild price variations, a slew of new label genres and it seems hard to find a reliable basic ASE grade guide. The PCGS guide usually seems inflated compared to auction outcomes.

I have been using coinweeks page.. [here] http://www.coinweek.com/silver-eagl...verse-proof/

It seems to have some fairly good estimates...

Thoughts on the coinweek site...

Do you know of better ASE price guides out there?

Yeah me too . Most of my coin collecting days I've found that persuing mid grade and better circulated coins was fascinating to me .
