Found this metal detecting a house built in 1945 about a year ago. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be posting non-coin things here, but I'll give it a shot. First off, I have no idea what it is. Second, here are some pointers:
1) it weighs 20-21 grams
2) it gets a 80-85 range under a metal detector
3) it has a trademark symbol in the top right corner

If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it! I have spent lots of time researching this and have found nothing. I don't know if I took home something old or if I took home some junk. Thank you!

Just guessing: looks like the branding decal from something, perhaps a tool or appliance. Can't quite make out the name.

By branding decal, do you mean this was branded, or is a brander. And is the 1940's a good guess with a time period? Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to this. I appreciate your help.

On old items, the brand name was often created in die cast metal and attached to the piece with studs or screws. It may be something like that. Look at old refrigerators and you can see what I mean. It may not be that at all, but could be?

Thanks for your input. If I don't get any other ideas or responses, I'll stick with the branding. Appreciate the help! Happy hunting!

Added: is there any time period I can expect this to be between? Again, the house was built in 1945. Tough to make out the words, but I know there is a T___OR. I don't know what the Spaces in between are. Thanks!

I was trying to imagine a brand name that would fit with no success. The stylized "M" may also be a clue. It almost looks like a toggle switch of some sort as well. I would guess more modern than the '40s based on the font. Hope you can get it figured out!

Thanks! I think it's an oddly shaped T IMHO. The first letter in the word below the symbol looks to be a T shaped the same. Just throwing my idea out there. Thanks for the help! I might hold on to it anyways. It's the first thing that I've dug that's not a modern clad or copper.
