Fox, Again thank you for this knowledge and your perception about this coin. You wrote about having a friend who is a dealer ( with the mint )?, and said the mintage amounts left for sale information was available to them. That sounds like it could be some sweet insight about a coins movement about mintage totals , IE, This coins outcome. A nice benefit No.? Ps, I see you buy and flip coins, I wish you the best, are you a must have a label only slabbed coin collector. I am and always have been an OGP collector myself....

MD...thanks...I am into both raw and slabbed coins but I definitely lean towards slabbed because when selling them they are more of a defined product. Buying/selling raw coins (online) is more a a crap shoot that can be manipulated by picture editing etc.

Anyway...the 2018-W's are now toast. Final mintage will be right around 137,750 or so and eclipsing the previous key of the series by 40,000 (177,562)

You are correct, the slabs seem to bring in more $$$$ at times over NOT.... While I know modern proofs are most sought after, I also know the older the coin, the more difficult to locate a high grade Uncirculated coin. At least for the older coins, Thanks......... Love the Unc's......... Always lean towards the under dog's..JMO

Here are some kinda fuzzy pics of two of my $57 PCGS 70's. Seller has raised his price to $75 now

..also..re: be aware of (W) bullion vs W Burnished

PCGS designates the Burnished W with a SP grade designation and the bullion (W) as MS...easy way to tell the difference

Those were good pick ups Fox, especially at that price. Even at $75 it's not too bad, considering that's how much you'd spend to buy one from the mint and send in yourself.

Wyzeguy has a point. I am wondering why this low mintage sold for the obviously low price, slabbed too? Knowledge, lack of or ?

MD: that is why it is a sleeper. There was the assumption that it would be sold until the normal 170k+. Once it was declared no longer available the price jumped up 50%

The key was (is) knowing how many are left in stock BEFORE it gets to zero

This dealer had around 150 in stock and was limiting purchases to 10 per account...decrease stock AND get new customers

Thanks Again Fox. I also saw last night the HSN Coin Collector Mike selling the 2017-W Burnished ASE and said, "it is the lowest mintage to date ASE. Now I enjoy hearing His speel and at times I learn a thing or two. IF the mintage total is correct for the 2018-W ASE then this is not a true statement for Him to say, with the 2018-W ASE mintage of about 137,750 .................After researching the totals to date, I find He is wrong .. Thanks Again FOX for all your informative insights too......

He is wrong about a lot of things, especially the value on most of the coins he sells.

The bay is running an 8% bucks back promotion so I picked up 20 of these and with shipping it worked out to about $41.25 per coin. Thought it was a good deal and just sharing for those who may have missed out. I don't think I can post a link to the auction due to forum rules?
