Nine more days of dime roll hunting, and I finally found another 2003-D. And this time, a 2003-P to go with it.

This latest hunt through 20 rolls also produced two 1964's and a 1963!

Talk about "being taunted by common coins" !

Statistically speaking (so far), my odds of finding a 2003 Dime in (mixed circulated) rolls are right down there with finding silver dimes.

$200 in rolls this month = found two 2003-D's and one 2003-P, also one 1956-P Proof, one 1963-D, one 1964-D and one 1964-P

I suppose there is something mystical and magical about 2003 Dimes!

Well, I got the "mystical, magical" Dime roll today!

Two 2003-D Dimes, one of which was right next to a 1943-D Mercury Dime, I kid you not!!

I've never found a Mercury dime in a roll until today, although I have found a few in circulation over the years....

I have searched and searched and... for a 1970 Roosevelt and three Lincolns--2006D, 2008D and 1982D Zn Small date. Guess what--you can't buy them in circulated condition. Plenty of MS ones for sale, but none circulated. And yes, I am to the point that I will pay for them.

Just got another Ocean in view nickel last night, that brings me up to an even dozen post 2002 nickels that I've gotten in change in the past six years. Averaging two coins per year. Still no 2005 buffalos from either mint.

Those 2005 Bison Nickels got hoarded from circulation Fast! Also the Peace Medal "P"'s.

Since 2004, I have found four Peace Medal "P" Nickels from circulation in Denver. For comparison, I've found four "D" Peace Medals in rolls just in the past three weeks!

I just got a nice-looking Bison + Ocean View pair from a roll this Monday.... and a VG 1940-S Nickel in a roll last week!
