Quote: Sincerely, A White Sox fan Hey, you guys had yours in 2005 and only had to wait 88 years since the last one! We have gone 100 years and still waiting. Okay, football season is coming, so hopefully we can agree: GO BEARS!

when I was finishing up my lincoln set, I eventually had 2 missing: 1909S VDB, 1941D. the second date is not a typo. the last Washington quarter to complete my set was 1958 i still do not have an 1897S morgan, which is one of the 12? dates I'm still missing Mercury dimes: while I still dont have a 16D, I recently picked up the other two I was missing: 1939S, 1940S

Quote: I have yet to find a decent 2005 ocean view nickel. I have yet to find a 2005 Buffalo nickel, either mint, in any condition. So far I have found less than a dozen post 2002 nickels of any date or mint. I also watch 1997 nickels an so far since 1997 I've located seven from each mint. That's 14 coins in eleven years. And I think it's been about two years since I found my last 97 nickel.

Quote: This is not a "wanted" post, because I WILL pull them out of circulation sooner or later. I will not be defeated! SPARTAAAAAA!
WoW !.......Now that is some serious determination !... Nice to see that !....and very commendable... The "Spartan" reference was too funny ! And "300" has got to be one of the best movies made in awhile ! The scene where King Leonidas said..... "So, I brought more soldiers than you did my old friend."......was just an awesome scene ! Anyway.....applying "Spartan determination" and focus on your endeavor is incredible to observe and appreciate !....

Quote:I cannot find a 2003-D Roosevelt dime. Today I got two 2003-P dimes in change from two different transactions. I just got a 2002-D dime today, close but no cigar; it sits with the 2004-D dime I got earlier in the week! Quote: I am also unable to find...the 2004-2005 D-mint Westward Journey nickels. I did find a 2004-D "Peace Medal" nickel yesterday!

I just got another 2002-D dime from the same place this morning! Someone must have dumped a roll or something! I did get my first 2008 cent today. However, she looks a little "tired" already, while the two 2007 cents I got with it are still shiny new.

If I saved every shiny 2008 cent I've seen around here......I'd have a $500.00 bag filled !!........ Kansas isn't lacking these !...

Same here, eaglefoot. It seems every bit of change I've gotten has a bright new 2008 cent.

Congrats! I'm surprised that Denver coins turn up at all in circulation out there. I seldom see a Lincoln from the P-mint here.

Heh, well, since you bumped it, I'll update that I have now filled both holes in my album, although I'm keeping an eye out for a better 1991-D, since the one I got is a bit scruffy. I've lived on the East Coast all my life (like, within 20 miles of the Atlantic), so I've always considered Denver coins to be a bit of a rarity compared to their Philly cousins... I don't have a good 2008-D LMC yet, but I figure I should get one in the next couple months.

Here I am, four weeks to the day, and I got a second 2003-D dime, at the same place as well. Amazing. Five years of nothing. Then BAM!

You know, jbuck, I figured I'd do some Dime roll hunting and get MichelleK a 2003-D Dime for her folder. It seemed like it would be a piece of cake.... until I tried it! It took me two weeks to find a 2003-D Dime for her! This wasn't helped by the fact that I was getting BU 2008 bank rolls even from some grocery stores! I found tons of duplicate years/mints going back to 1965, one silver Dime (1956 Proof, with a few toning spots), and ONE 2003-D. Did I mention that I'm in Denver, the best place in the U.S. to find "D" currency in your change?
