Chase007 Pillar of the Community United States 7514 Posts	Posted 02/07/2019 1:22 pm It is a Lamination extended from the T of LIBERTY through the back of the head and above Ear. Over the corner of the Eye is due to Die wear, your coin is in a very late die state and the die is deteriorating, now what you are describing as a crack running down the Nose could very well be a scratch since that's a very unlikely place to see die cracks. It could be a scratch on the nose, but it extends past the philtrum a skosh and outlines his lips. Weird for either a crack or a scratch, I guess, lol. (Very-Late-Die-State) That means the fields have wrinkles as it is a die reaching retirement. A the die ages the devices and bust on your coin is moving towards the closest rim. Not a premium coin, but a spendable, or you can save it as a VLDS die example so when you teaching new collectors, you have an example to share with them. Report this Post to the Staff
