I noticed a penny because of its unusual color it had on it and as I looked at it closer saw that it was about twice as thick as a regular Penny and even thicker than a nickel please check out the pics!anyone have some expertise to offer... Thanks in advance and I appreciate your expertise!

Looks like it was placed on an anvil and the edge was rolled and it widened out the edge a bit. If that is the case the coins diameter should be smaller than a normal cent. Looks altered.
(Note it zinc is showing.)

Altered as in somebody like hit it themselves I mean all the lettering on it is the exact same size as on a regular penny it's just like that had too much metal in it or something but I don't know I got a coin guy local and friend of the family I'm going to go holler at him in the morning he's got a big coin shop in town... If it was an error what would something like that even be worse just so I can have an idea in my head I probably won't it wouldn't even sell it right away but just to have an idea

It could be from thicker stock. I have a 2000 P cent that is as thick as a proof cent but it is just thicker stock. No premium for those unfortunately.

It is a damaged. Coin. The collar forms the outside of the coin. It was normal then it was altered. No premium. Weight is totally normal. Just the edge was rolled up. Another thing that damages coins is commercial clothes dryers:

But I feel yours is not like that. On a Dryer Coin the metal is folded over the edges. No premium for these either. Just a damaged coin.

Could it be an early stage dryer penny?
