I was thinking MD as well...

Suggestion - when you post a coin, post the entire front and back of the coin, along supportive close ups of areas in question. It can help determine what is going on with the devices. Also I would post larger images ;) Just my 2 cents!

Machine Doubling plus circulation wear and flattening on the date. Just a spender.

Actually the '1968' appears to be wider from being struck though a partial fill grease blockage on the die. Thus enlarging those devices. If it were metal contact, then you would see metal movement on the digits. But there is none. Not a doubled die.
