I bought this long ago with a few other S pennies (68 to 74) and just noticed that this one has a floating roof. The set of pennies were all labeled BU.

I am wondering what value this has?

I hope you like it.

I still see attachment of the roof,so I would not call it a floating roof...sorry. As to value, check ebay sold values for an idea.

Thanks John1.

Your eyes might be better than mine. I tried different angles of light and still could not see any supports for the top of the roof. I concentrate my focus on the left and right edges of the top roof and I see nothing there. Should I be looking elsewhere?

I'm a novice and at the mercy of the experts.

Most humbly yours,

It's way too common to carry any extra value. This error was caused by over polishing the dies to get rid of a Die Clash.

Thank you, again, John!

I understood what caused this, but I am wondering can I call this one a "floating roof"?

You can call it that. But as far as I know there are no premium for these. PCGS used to grade these and quick because it was very common. Thry turned down submissions back a few years ago.
