Not entirely sure TKC, it looks like glass. It is encapsulated and I am not able to open it without damaging the capsule to find out for sure.

I guess this is my buy of the week, it is my first toned coin and it will probably be going to NCS to get "conserved" to remove it and possibly to get a upgrade once the ugly is off of it

Bryan, That is a great coin. I Love the Morgans when they are toned like that. Nice and big and shows the colors. I actually got my first Morgan today as well. It's a 1888 O and it is in AU condition to my eye. I found an antique mall where one dealer has hundreds of US coins. I also grabbed a few more Walking Liberty halves that I needed. One is a 1942 in AU condition and the whole thing is a bright gold tone. Very cool.....

yeah its about UGLY in my opinion, but like I have said in the past I just dont like toned coins, The reverse is all kinds of pretty colors in hand but it sure doesn't picture well but the obverse....well what can I say. I think once NCS washes all the ugly off it should be a good canditate for a MS-67

Well my Morgans arrived. The scans dont do them justice, they truly are impressive things in hand. Nothing too special but they are my first so I love them!

Here's the 1885O

They are stunning pics, Lim! And Bryan1315, not sure what is meant by 'ugly' ... to my mind is magic-looking coin. So there you go

I've nothing at all recent to show here.

Collect just Australian pre-decimal's meself; but will be looking to pick up coin similar to Bryan's (colorful), on return from bush in around 3 weeks.
Cheers

I went yesterday to the coin shop and picked up two more proof sets I needed. I got the 2000 and 2002 Clad Proof sets. I now have all of the new proof sets 1999-2006 Clad sets. Now I am going to start working on getting the rest from 1968- 1998. I do have the 1975 my birth year but other then that I need the rest. The dealer I go to have great price on proof set hard to pass on most of them have not found anyone else who can even get close to his price. I got my 2000 for 21.00 and got my 2002 for 31.50 thought those were great prices. I should be going back either this weekend or next week to get more set.

The dealer messed up and acedenty told me that my niegbor got me a gift cirtifacate to him. He thought I had already received it. He just told me act supised so when I get that I will be heading back.

I bought 1968-s,1969-s,1970-s,1971-s,1972-s,1973-s,1974-s I got all of these for 52.00 not a bad day at the coin shop. I have some great niegbors. I am working on getting all the proof sets from 1950-2006. I have a way to go but think it will be fun.
