The flatness in the hair above the ear on the Obverse is usually either caused by wear or weak strike, it is one of the first places that will show wear, on the reverse the flatness of the eagles breast feathers are the same as the hear above the ear, it is one of the first places on a Morgan to show wear. If a coin has wear at all it can't be in the Uncirculated category, it has to be AU (Almost Uncirculated) or below
