Quote: Did they happen to say if because sold out or packaging? Chances are it is sold out. The 3/10 sales report indicates sales of 46,762. It wouldn't have taken many more sales in the last couple of days to hit the 50k product limit.

SHocked....someone had to go all in on this one...to the tune of a 20k or so order
So much for the Young Collector availability. Really dumb to put a mintage limit on it

If there was no mintage limit no one would have really wanted it.

Well my 2 sets are going to my young boys, though it might stay in the package for a little while. Was up so I went on at 7:30 to get a few more but they weren't available. Might try again tomorrow.

So much for attracting the YN. I bought exactly one with the 2019 proof set for the "W" cent for the kid in me and for the GITD rocket ship holder and yep the D halves look specially polished for inclusion in the set. This is one of those items the Mint could make more of as neither of the coins are supposed to be special finishes. Someone should buy a roll or bag of the 2019D halves and compare the finishes. My guess is there'll be some wholesale returns when the PL designation doesn't pan out... Edit—This is highly reminiscent of the brouhaha a few years back over the coins in the uncirculated set with a mint designated "uncirculated" finish versus the rolls and bags in the "circulation" finish, nomenclature designed for the Mint to sell more product.

^ Exactly, and it gives you an idea about the incompetence of those who make decisions about which coins to include in sets such as these.

Not a brouhaha. The mint set coins are indeed minted at a slower speed and with more pressure than normal business strike coins (which is what goes into the bags and rolls).

True that kids very likely wouldn't care about the mintage, but ultimately it's generally the traditional collector that would have been the one purchasing it for them.

Well, guys, I got my Rocketship in yesterday, and it contained some prooflike shine..... This shot was taken at a slight angle. Yes, there are spots in the field on the right side, so something happened at the mint. It's not that big of a deal to me, though, as I'm planning to get another one in an ANACS PL holder. The surfaces are beautifully glossy. Look at the field area around the chin. Man, I love prooflike business strikes.

In the PCGS vernacular, proof-like means there's a reflection in the fields that can be seen when the object is 2-4 inches away from the coin. What's the depth of the mirror with this coin? It'd be great if you'd post a picture of that
