Is the luster of the coin impaired in anyway? The surface looks artificial in the light shown.

Spot-free gigantic gem. Imagine this coin without this sort of magnification. I've seldom seen better.

Lighting might be making this coin look as if it has been cleaned and recolored. The multiple colors on the obverse are a concern.

Reverse is a ugly strike.
Rest in Peace

I'm in the luster looks impaired camp. Given the lack of marks in the fields, I'd expect to see some cartwheel luster. Could just be the photo.

Ken's post is what first popped into my head too. I see cartwheels but diffused more than I'd expect with a coin of this grade. It could very well be the lighting.

New obverse master hub in 1916 produced some great examples! I have to be a bit suspect as to why this coin, if as presented, doesn't reside in a major TPG slab. It could very well be a crack job from a problem slab - likely QT. Either way, I'd submit it as these are rare in the upper grades....a 67 would be worth like $50+k.

GOOD LUCK!

This one too I will send better photos. The lighting is harsh. I actually purchased this coin because of what in my opinion appears to be beautiful natural toning. Stay tuned!
