I've checked the diagnostics as best I know. I've tried to get good pictures. I need some cold hard facts

IGWT,looks like damage. The date might be MD.

Agree - motto is damaged, Liberty appears normal, and slight MD on date.

Thank you everybody for helping me:)
I am just understanding Machine Doubling. I thought because the letters were angled and not shelf like that it was different.
I now see on the Wexlers sight that this coin looks an awful lot like the WWHO-001 example!

It's so exciting to examine these cents and find such unique charactoristics!

All the 1968 cents from all three mints look like that on the motto. They replaced the master die in 1969 as it was spreading out and touching the rim devices. All normal for this a and few years before this.

That's why 60's coins with good strikes are hard to come by.

IGWT touching the rim is normal,but the bottoms of those letters looks like damage to me.
