Over Polished die issue and in a Very Late Die State on the reverse. The reverse die is at retirement at this point. See my education thread for more information. http://goccf.com/t/317950

This dime seems to have literally "DOUBLE DIED".

I see no evidence of intentional die abrasion. What you have is a dime struck by heavily worn dies.
Error coin writer and researcher.
