Matte proof, 99.99% silver. I've never seen these colored Canadian coins, but this satisfies the design better than the pure metal -- still seems more fitting for a poster than a coin, though.

The mint is asking $54.95 for a specially wrapped roll worth only $25. What a rip off!!
I just noticed in the colored version the person on the left with the earing is facing us and the other person is side ways.To me there kissing. Oh well it is what it is.

Chadcoins, you just described exactly what the design is supposed to look like.

I thought the only colour would be the lips kissing. Bring on the lipstick knockoffs.

I agree that the colouring makes it make a lot more sense than its circulation counterpart. So these are supposed to be out and about along with regular loon if I understand it correct? Not like the regular loon will only be available in mint sets.?

I just picked up a few of these loonies at the coin exchange (in Toronto). I've had zero luck at banks, though TD bank did get a few of these rolls (which I missed), and RBC keeps on telling me that they won't be receiving any of these.
