I have got to put up a thread on the photography, as I've answered this before a number of times but always buried in replies to something and not so easy to reference...

The full coin shots are taken with a Canon S95 set on P and zoomed in two clicks from almost, but not quite directly above. The light is a 60W Type A halogen clear bulb (not frosted) set about 12 inches above and slightly behind the stage. The macro shots are taken with an AmScope trinocular stereoscope usually just by pointing an iPhone down one of the eyepieces although I will use the onboard camera sometimes and especially if I need a full frame mint mark shot. Lighting on the scope is a halogen with a ring diffuser set directly behind the stage which spins to get whatever light angle I need. I often use a bit of mylar or a double-folded paper towel as a diffuser between the light and coin when the scope's light is doing too much glare.

Cheers!
