I keep a plastic coffee container - that I label coins of interest. (COI) to me. I save all of the "interesting" coins that I find there. Probably none of them have any premium value - but if I find them interesting I keep them there. I go back to them from time to time - for enjoyment and interest. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/20/2019 6:57 pm The reason it is filled in is because the post that forms that part of the device has broken off the die. So after this happens the rest of that dies life will be striking cents with out the center of the device. So the device is not filled, the metal was not formed as a center because of the broken off post issue. This often happens gradually or in one strike. Just the die wearing out. But will still be used for as many as 500K more strikes. Report this Post to the Staff
