I would like your professional opinion on this 1972 penny as far as possible doubling on the reverse in some of the lettering and on the memorial itself.

If you are looking at the top of "STATE" then no. It is Die Deterioration. Just a result of die wear.

Die Deterioration on the reverse. Normal wear and tear on the dies.
