Die Cracks 1930 & 39 Cent ?

These are all Lamination errors.

@tl, I'm of a slightly different opinion. I agree that the '30 has some nice lams, but I'm not convinced that the linear defect on the '39 isn't just a scratch. I will be interested to see what others think about it.

Note the thinnest of the areas in question? Note how it almost looks as thin as foil? These are both lamination errors. What is the weight of the 1939. If it is heavier than usual it might be a struck through debris. (most times a lamination will run in a straight line) But I see why you question the 1939, as the line is not straight.

The weight of the 1939 is 2.99.

That is very close to correct figuring in die wear. So it may just be lamination issue on both coins.
