I have a question, and it may sound silly. Earlier in this thread, someone mentioned Cameron93 ( ebay handle). Is Cameron93 good or bad when it comes to ebay?

FYI - Cameron93 is the one who blew the whistle on this character...

ebay can do much to improve its image and putting the run on unethical buyers is mandatory. And then there are those few heavy hitters - sellers - who routinely hoodwink newbies and gullible collectors and they're still on year after year.

I think ebay realizes that sellers are a dime a dozen, it's sad and seems backwards but buyers are much more valuable to them as a company. The bad press a buyer earns the company from getting ripped off is much worse PR/bad news articles for them vs a seller being ripped off. It's understood that sellers in modern commerce assume all risk. This is why as a consumer it's actually hard to buy anything with any sort of maintained value. No seller in this environment should offer anything of great value to the public, when involving PayPal/Ebay/amazon and so on. Unless you purchase it for next to nothing, it may be the only way it's worth selling in this sort of toxic commerce environment. Early on they needed sellers to provide content.

With him being able to quickly register under a new ID with the same address, just shows that ebay's "sanctions" regarding wayward Buyers mean diddly squat.

I don't see how ebay can't somewhat vet "name/ID" requests from past members and look at their record or reason for request. It should be easy to "86" them from the rolls.

This is like a game of Whack-a-mole or more like Whack-a-Crook. ebay needs to step up their game.

I've always been a staunch supporter of ebay for great buying opportunities and a fast and easy way of selling (and will continue to do so), but situations such as the one discussed above really bother me and shows me that (as usual) a big operation such as ebay is solely out for the profit. I guess it's a matter of 'look out for number #1' and thank goodness for sites such as this one, where we can inform each other and hopefully avoid the misfortunes that have fallen on a few other unlucky sellers/buyers. Keep up the good work everyone!!
