I have been selling 10 to 30 items a week for quite a few years. I track very few items and have a loss rate of well under 1%. I have not had a lost item for three or four months now. With the hassles of shipping during COVID, I sent out a $200+ coin the other week with no tracking. No problem.
I think that the seller is the loser with tracked shipping. The buyer only cares about the shipped price all inclusive. So the cost of tracking is mostly coming out of the hide of the seller. If you are shipping $50 coins with tracked shipping at say $15, you need a loss rate of close to 20% to justify tracking. Otherwise it is a losing proposition for the seller.
Sure its no fun to have to refund an untracked shipment. But you need to think in your mind that every time you had an untracked shipment received, you are up $10+ for not tracking.
Has anyone went and paid this guy a visit? Just to ask him in person why some much coins seem to not deliver at his address? Or get the cops involved? With all the information here, it is clearly a scam and not just bad luck from canada post deliveries.
Good news everyone .... got this clown banned again. After I made a comment on his board to search fralaroc-48 on google to see many who have been robbed he changed his name to espacec within minutes .... now it says he is no longer a registered user. Unfortunately I didn't get the money back from ebay though
