I'd say cracked planchet not delamination. Yes, it is a good error.

I found this and a 1998 WAM plus a few others in about $20 worth of pennies I bought at a gas station.. My wife thinks I am crazy I want to start collecting coins and thinks it's a hobby I will just spend money on.. Are these types of errors worth anything? |

The coin looks as though you could peel back the layer with a pocket knife or fingernail.. Still kind of new to the error collecting and wanted some opinions on this..

Coin collecting is one hobby that age does not seem to equal value from the books and articles I have read.. I have always kept foreign coins and silver coins and I am now learning about error coins and etc etc.. I really appreciate all the help.. It's still a cool looking coin and going to go into the keeper coins.. thanks

When posting pictures of questioned coins,please start with a photo of the complete/entire coin..Delams are normally in somewhat of a straight line, however this crack makes a strong left turn upwards from the N in ONE,unable to determine positively for a delam or cracked planchet

Looks like a lamination to me. Do not pick at it. Not worth a lot and you won't get rich in this hobby,put the hobby is packed with fun. John1  |

I will try to post better pics in future but the other camera takes terrible pics so I use the one on my scope I use to look at coins.. And not looking to get rich with the hobby I play the lottery to do that &  ..Thanks for the help folks.. |
