Quote: I'm just shocked at that price of 999.99 and I thought the 300 dollars on ebay was too much lol Totally agree but I can only see "coming soon...alert me" for the AMPMEX CDN set..no price. Same as the US set I went against my better judgement (which may be a good thing) and got six CDN sets...4 from RCM and 2 from the Italy seller.

Guess you can look at that two ways....being a bit of a cynic I would lean towards maybe they thought the price MIGHT be low? (stupid I know)...otherwise why wouldn't they keep the price out there as a feeler and see if anyone bites...unless they did bite causing the take down Did you see what the PCGS 70 sets were listed at? They are "out of stock"... Definitely more interesting that I had originally expected...and MAJOR kudos to mellamobradley46...I would have had no clue that RCM was selling them pre-sale and ASSUMED it would go on sale the same day as the US set...THANK YOU That's what we do here..try to help others with our thoughts and research...

I got mine from the seller in Italy. Looks like I got the last ones. They increased the price from 139 Euros on June 30 to 159 Euros on July 1 and are now sold out.

Not many people are going to sell them their sets for $20 over issue price if they're selling them for that

Honestly I just saw it on another board and wanted to spread the word because I was just as surprised to see it was up for sale. Wanted to make sure people here got the chance and wanted to see if it would sell out quickly to assure it would be a hot item. I usually just put my purchases aside for my boys but I might have to sell this one.

Seeing the demand for the CDN set, has anyone changed their mind on the qty they plan to buy from the US mint? And will you be there right when it's released?

Not many people are going to sell them their sets for $20 over issue price if they're selling them for that . Excellent point..I forgot about their 20 buck offer for the US set. Now that makes the price a potentially real price for APMEX anyway. I still say "stupid" to any that went for that price and it won't stay anywhere near that price Quote: Seeing the demand for the CDN set, has anyone changed their mind on the qty they plan to buy from the US mint? And will you be there right when it's released? I will probably be there but still on the fence. I am WAAAY more into this set already thanks to our neighbor Canada but....we will see. Definitely in for two.... I will say that the quick sell out of the CDN set will prompt a few more "Damn, I missed it" US sales....

So, reading all this, I think the consensus here is that this set will have a good secondary market value, at least not a money loser if it's bought?

Got the email from APMEX today with their instructions on how to take advantage of their buy offer for the sets. Since there's no guarantee you can get an order in with the Mint, there is no firm/signed commitment to sell to APMEX, but I wanted to see what their conditions were. I was surprised at this footnote Quote: *APMEX reserves the right to refuse purchase of U.S. Mint 2019 Pride Two Nations 2-coin sets if all of the obligations listed above are not met or at our discretion. I added the emphasis to show that APMEX is really not even committing 100% to buy the sets I'm guessing that APMEX will honor their offer to buy the sets, but they've left themselves an out should this set not be as hot as they think it will be

Quote:I added the emphasis to show that APMEX is really not even committing 100% to buy the sets That's pretty standard on all of them as just a various legal disclaimer. If it sells out first day they'll likely take all they get offered, if not I would suspect the offer will dry up really quick.
