After the set goes on sale at noon, visitors to Philadelphia Mint will be able to have Mint products or COAs signed by both U.S. Mint Director Ryder and Royal Canadian Mint Chief Executive Marie Leman, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.

I wonder how many people took advantage of this.

Later this summer, limited quantities will be available at the American Numismatic Association's World's Fair of Money on August 13 through 17, 2019. United States Mint Director David Ryder and Royal Canadian Mint CEO Marie Lemay will be on hand to sign certificates of authenticity for the set.

And, what is "limited quantities"? A couple hundred?

Source.

Gotta love the US mint. People ordering days later are having theirs shipped meanwhile my order in the first 20 minutes still hasnt shipped

I was done in less than a minute from the time they went on sale (literally hit F5 on the screen until the add button appeared) and still have not received a shipment notification. Perhaps they're not operating on a FIFO basis.

I received my order confirmation email and the mint site says status is "shipped", but I haven't received my "shipped" email yet. I assume that will come tomorrow.
Same here.

I have an active tracking number, it says "LABEL CREATED Shipment information sent to FedEx"

I suppose I will get the shipped e-mail once FedEx has the actual package.

I called and asked about that once and their response was something like up to 72 hours total processing time which doesn't include holidays and weekends. I once went with expedited delivery and the processing time took longer than the shipping.

I feel sorry for several of you. I too had my order in by 11:04 am CST July 3, but I got it confirmed by 11:57 am CST, then shipping confirmed on July 5 before 12 noon. Like clockwork. However, what some of you recount are not good business practices. I know some of you purchased even before me and have not received shipping confirmation. The U.S. Mint shouldn't work like this. If you all speak up, I will too.

I never received a "shipped" email either but my order is listed as shipped on the website and I have a FedEx tracking number. FedEx confirmed it is in their hands delivery is expected next Wednesday but I think it will probably be earlier.

I checked my tracking number. It says shipping info sent to FedEx on 7/3 evening. Then arrived in Southaven, MS on 7/5 late night. Then departed 7/6 very early morning. Will not arrive in Michigan until 7/11. That seems slow. Also, I find it curious that the warehouse appears to be in Mississippi.

I should add FWIW orders placed this am are going directly to "processing" and not listed as backordered.

I will keep an eye on my AM order and report any change....

Does anybody think it went from "currently unavailable" from yesterday, to "processing" today (not" back ordered") because when canceled orders come through, the status changes, and thus the system automatically processes and ships them?

An order after it's placed can't go to "currently unavailable"...that's not a placed order status. It's a product status on the new order page. Placed orders can go from processing to backordered or shipped.

If orders were cancelled the previous sets on backorder should be shipped in order of time ordered....

Also....I read recent orders made during backorder status also went to processing but then then changed back to backordered..so my order today will probably follow that pattern

Oh well...

It doesn't seem right to me that people should be able to return a set because it is not a "70"
