Hello all, was trying to match with LMC overlay and it does not match Reg. overlay. Maybe a MAD Clash? What are your thoughts on it being the 2nd 1999 LMC Mule Clash? Thank you for the help,
Edward M.

Someone else will have to answer this question, as I'm not familiar with the first. That said, your pics don't seem to indicate a clashed die to me. Normally, we evidence of the columns on either side of Abe or little bits of his profile in the bays between the columns. From your pics, it seems like you are focused on the periphery of the coin, including that odd dark ring on the rev.

Hello, Spence not focused on the dark ring only on the letters. That is where some of the clashing is showing. Did you even look at the last pic? Shows some type of clash marks in the bays. Did you see the T? MartinD86 if you not a Pro, then please dont waste my time or anyone else's with telling them that. I know the differences in Plating Issues vs Clash Marks. I have been here for 8+ yrs and it takes alot for me to post something on here. I try to do as much research on any coin I post. I have tried my hardest not to become the EVERYDAY "I Agree" poster, like many posting on here. I am here for the Learning, but it makes it hard when most post on this site have 50+ views, 4+ Replies, and only one that is of actual assistance. Thank you all, and Have a Great Day.

Ok @jl1, I clearly hit a nerve with my reply. Perhaps if you described in a little more detail what you see for clashes, then I wouldn't have jumped to any conclusions. I see that you joined CCF back in 2010 and that does qualify you for treatment as an old-timer friend status. Please consider tamping back a little on the grouch factor though--I'm actually trying to help you. That said, I do admire your decision to not jump on the "I agree" bandwagon. Well done.

Here is your last pic, conveniently rotated so that it be assessed without developing a painful neck:

I see two small anomalies, one each in bay #7 and bay #8. Bay #7 looks like a circulation hit to me and Bay #8 mostly looks like surface staining in this pic. You have already stated that you didn't find either of these details lining up with an overlay, so what are you seeing with the coin in hand that convinces you that these are die clashes?

I'm not seeing a clash. More of an issue with a dime that stained your coin in a cup holder issue. The clash marks would be on a totally different area:

A clash is the same color as a normal coin. Your coin as I mentioned looks more like a stain.
