When a coin is then struck with this die a raised area will be left at the rim of the coin. Your coin exhibits a recessed area at the rim. I must agree with the others that your coin was a former Encased Cent. Report this Post to the Staff
Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5803 Posts	Posted 07/13/2019 07:10 am Two things to consider why this is NOT a "die collar clash" (in addition to what Stoneman mentioned)- 1)There is only one die collar per strike so it could NOT affect both sides of a coin. 2)The area affected would NOT include the entire perimeter, but only a portion of it. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow. Report this Post to the Staff
