I found this quarter today. It has some scratches around the bird. I am not sure if it is mint error. What is your opinion?

We had a discussion on these on a rosie earlier this week - feeder finger die scratches.

A good example of Feeder Finger Damage IMO. I would keep it as a reference piece.

Actually, those are Feeder Finger Scrapes. It's a form of die damage. It happens when the Feeder Fingers malfunction and starts to scrape against the die face, leaving these marks on the die and on struck coins. http://www.error-ref.com/die-scrapes/

@gf, I'm not familiar with the specific thread that @bs3 is describing, but note that you can use the CCF search box in the top left of your screen. If you use the keywords FEEDER FINGER, you will see tons of examples.
